The Nutcracker Ballet

All ballet students enrolled in our school are invited to participate in the Nutcracker. All roles are danced by STUDENTS, and some talented parents. Although many surrounding schools bring in professional ballerinas, NO PROFESSIONAL DANCERS are hired for our ballet production.

Each December our Nutcracker Ballet ushers in the holiday season with a beautiful, heartfelt performance by our ballet students. Dancers start out performing as tiny mice and gumdrops and grow into challenging lead roles, danced en pointe, such as the Snow Queen and the Sugar Plum Fairy. It is a cherished part of the year for the BDT family, and we all share in producing memories that truly will last a lifetime.
